RetirementJobs.com Expands Advisory Board

Leaders from Hollywood, AARP, The Partnership for Public Service, and Boston College join to support the #1 career site for job-seekers over the age of 50

Boston and Washington, DC - January 26, 2010 - Today, RetirementJobs.com, Inc, the #1 career website for job-seekers age 50+ announced the addition to its Corporate Advisory Board of four influential leaders from business, advocacy groups, government, and academia.

"It is a true privilege to be joined by such a high caliber group of people. The unique perspectives they bring will be critical to the continued success of RetirementJobs.com as well as our Age Friendly Employer Certification program. Each of them shares our enormous passion for helping people more easily secure meaningful employment and retirement income security at this later career stage," said founder and CEO Tim Driver.

Joining RetirementJobs.com's Corporate Advisory Board are Sherry Lansing, longtime advocate for experienced workers and former Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures; Deborah Russell, Director of Workforce Issues at AARP; Max Stier, President and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service in Washington, D.C.; and Dr. Marcie Pitt-Catsouphes Ph.D., Director of the Sloan Center on Aging & Work at Boston College in Newton, MA.

Sherry Lansing headed the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures from 1992-2005, during which the studio enjoyed enormous creative and financial success. Previously appointed as president of production at 20th Century Fox in 1984, she was the first woman to head a Hollywood studio. Lansing has approached her post-Hollywood life as business advisor and philanthropist with the same enthusiasm that characterized her earlier movie business career. Notes Lansing: "My generation has more energy, more drive, and a greater life expectancy than any group of retirees before us. Through my association with RetirementJobs.com, I hope to significantly impact millions of Americans approaching or past retirement age, helping them to find rewarding work in the third act of their lives."

Deborah Russell leads an AARP team focused on issues affecting individuals 50+ by developing information, programs, technical assistance, and practical research. Russell manages the AARP "Best Employers for Workers Over 50" and the AARP National Employer Team program.

Max Stier's Partnership for Public Service is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to revitalizing our federal government by inspiring a new generation to serve and by transforming the way government works. Having worked in the U.S. Congress, U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court, and in the Departments of Justice, and Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Stier has served in all three branches of the Federal Government.

Marcie Pitt-Catsouphes heads the Sloan Center on Aging & Work at Boston College, a leading research organization. As part of its charter, it also engages businesses in the adoption, implementation, and utilization of flexible work options for older workers.
