Seating at the workshops will be limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. “Searching for a new job or new career at age 50, 55, 60, 65 and beyond is a challenge as the U.S. workforce ages, and whether out of necessity or choice, people are staying in the workforce longer,” said Tim Driver, CEO of RetirementJobs.com. Our workshop will allow participants to learn about practical approaches to finding meaningful, challenging and rewarding work in a sometimes unwelcoming labor market. We’ll talk about the types of jobs available, who’s hiring, managing your job search, and how to confront and overcome age bias and other obstacles to employment.” “Borders is an attractive option for older workers,” said Andrea Smith, senior manager of talent acquisition for Borders. “We offer the flexibility, environment, benefits and programs that many mature employees find appealing. Older workers are a growing part of our workforce and an important part of our customer base as well. That’s why we are delighted to team up with AARP and RetirementJobs.com to host these informative sessions that we hope will educate and inspire many workers over 50.” About Borders Group, Inc.
