Answers:
1. Why are you charging fees for the Premium Membership?
We introduced the Premium Membership Program in response to requests from job seekers who wanted more assistance than provided simply through access to the job postings, resume posting, job search alerts and information about getting a new job, which are offered at no charge. Being a Premium Member
carries a nominal monthly fee. This money is used to provide the live, online job seekers’ workshop; write and maintain the online Job Seeker's Guide Book; support our mature worker advocacy work, which includes the identification and evaluation of Certified Age Friendly Employers; discounts on
resume writing and career coaching services; and to support special research reports such as "Legitimate Work At and From Home Jobs". We believe that to get a new job in today's economy, you need encouragement, information, tools and resources. The Premium Member fee allows us to provide these
services.
2. What about registering a user name and password?
In order to apply for specific jobs or post your resume, you need to register at our site as a Basic Member, and create a unique username and password. This is distinct from your Premium Member user passcode. We are in the process of working to merge the Basic Member site registration with your Premium Membership, but for the time being, you need a separate login for each purpose.
You can register here.
3. How do I log in to the Premium Member section?
Visit the premium membership section. From there you can enter the member access ID you received by email when you purchased your membership.
4. I can’t log in – What do I do?
Your Premium Membership log in is different from your Basic Member log in.
To log in as a Premium Member, click here and enter your membership code.
To log in as a Basic Member, click here and enter the email address and password you used to create your Basic Member account.
5. What is an Age Friendly Employer?
The large majority of age 50+ job seekers strongly believe that age bias is a major obstacle to securing a rewarding and meaningful job. To enable job seekers to more confidently and quickly identify appropriate employers who will welcome their job application, RetirementJobs.com evaluates employers’ policies and practices on issues that matter to older the candidate – securing flexibility, competitive pay, training and advancement opportunities, a respectful work environment, health benefits and retirement savings plans. Employers who meet and exceed RetirementJobs.com’s “age friendly employer” standards are granted the recognition of Certified Age Friendly Employer and are permitted to display RetirementJobs.com’s certification seal on their job postings and their own career websites. Your subscription to RetirementJobs.com Premium enables you to conveniently see the seal on job postings when you perform a search. You can see the seal without being a Premium Member when you navigate to an employer’s company profile page. Searching for a job is difficult at any age. Knowing which employers welcome your application should really improve your odds for getting an interview. Start your job search with Certified Age Friendly Employers by looking for the special seal. When you see a job posting that does not carry the seal, it comes from a company that has not yet applied for certification or is in the process of being certified.
