Behavior Specialist

The Behavior Specialist will serve as the team lead for the In-Home Behavioral Services under the Childrens Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), to deliver behavioral services (ABA) to identified family members who meet the criteria of medical necessity'. Potential participants may include family members from a variety of SMOC programs as well as referrals from the Community Support Agency (CSA) or outpatient therapists.

Essential Functions:
- Complete a functional behavioral assessment and development of a highly specific behavior plan
- Oversee and coordinate interventions according to CBHI specifications
- Train, supervise and coordinate with other interveners to address objectives or goals
- Work closely with the Behavior Management Monitor to ensure that behavior management plans and risk management plans are implemented as developed and adjusted as needed
- Collaborate with the referring provider and attend treatment team meetings
- Ensure that all services are provided in a professional manner with regard to privacy, safety and respecting the familys dignity and right to choice
- Develop a discharge plan with the family and input from other involved providers when the youth has met the indicated goals, if the services are no longer desired or there is no longer medical necessity for the level of service
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner
