This role develops and services the provider network (physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, ancillary groups & facilities, etc.) ensuring that provider issues coming into the office are resolved appropriately. This frequently requires interactions with other areas within the company. Also, this role is part of a team that works to generate a geographically competitive, broad access, stable network that achieves objectives for unit cost performance and trend management, and produces an affordable and predictable product for customers and business partners. Also, evaluates and negotiates contracts in compliance with company contract templates, reimbursement structure standards, and other key process controls. Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with Hospital, Physician, Pharmacy, or Ancillary providers, and ensures the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of provider specialties. Performs additional related projects as requested.

Investigatenon-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others.

3years in the health care or managed care industry.
2years working with Healthcare claims and familiarity with claim terminology.
Atleast an intermediate level of proficiency with Excel.
3years experience with MS Office products.
Assets:
Proficiencywith NDB.
Proficiencywith UNO.
1years experience with Emptoris.
2years experience in a network management-related role, such as contracting or provider services.
Knowledgeof Medicare reimbursement methodologies, i.e. Resource Based Relative Value System (RBRVS).
Atleast an intermediate level of knowledge of claims processing systems and guidelines.
Abilityto solve problems.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills.
Abilityto manage high volume, fast paced work environment.
Stronginterpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others.
Strongcustomer service skills.
Undergraduatedegree.
