The Regulatory FP&A team supports the regulated legal entities of UnitedHealth Group (UHG) by providing accurate and insightful analytics to various customers throughout the organization, monitoring the financial activity to ensure proper accounting and reporting, assisting the segments' financial planning activities at the legal entity level, and assisting the Regulatory Reporting teams with requests from auditors and regulators.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead Regulatory FP&A representative to assigned regulated UHG legal entities.
- Partner and work with segments, Regulatory Reporting and fellow Regulatory FP&A team members to gather information, understand and interpret business activities and trends, develop and provide comprehensive analysis as it relates to assigned legal entities at the segment level.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis and generate reports for assigned entities.
- Oversee the segments' budgeting and forecasting process for assigned entities.
- Build relationships and become subject matter expert for specific UHG business activities.
- Provide consultation to business partners on financial matters impacting the assigned entities.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Create innovative financial models to perform analysis for business and finance management.
- Lead other ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- 2 years of financial planning and analysis and/or accounting experience.
- Strong skills in MS Excel and other MS Office products.
- Strong Hyperion Essbase and PeopleSoft proficiency.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
- Resilient teamwork and customer service determination to develop and establish internal and external relationships.
- Ability to take direction from solid line managers as well as customers.
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivated, driven for results.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and shift priorities.
- Innovation and creative thinking to develop analytic models and process improvements.
- Healthcare industry background.
- Regulatory accounting knowledge.
- Public accounting experience.
